My Story
Luthier Roy A Gordon Sr
My home and shop are in Fort Ann, NY. I grew up doing woodworking projects of all sorts. I built my first home when I was only 21 years old. I have done many custom kitchen & bath projects over the years, and completed all the woodworking myself. In 2008 I started building mandolins. I built my first F style mandolin and brought it to the Danby Bluegrass Festival. Tim Blair, a music man and friend of mine, tried it out and ended up playing it all weekend. When I asked him how he liked my mandolin he said "I don't have your mandolin, I have mine," and he bought it that weekend.
